The US-based tech giant is yet to officially reveal the name of the upcoming iPhone 12 but rumours have revealed almost everything about the products that could launch at today’s virtual event. According to leaks and rumours Apple will launch four iPhones this year. The company usually launches three iPhones at its annual event.

As per rumours, Apple will launch four iPhone models including the flagship iPhone, the Pro, the Pro Max and the Mini with a 5.7-inch screen. The four new iPhone 12 models will range in size from 5.4-inches to 6.7-inches. All four models are expected to come with OLED displays as well as 5G support. The phones are said to feature Apple’s new high-performance A14 chipset and an upgraded camera. As far as pricing is concerned, the iPhone 12 series is expected to start at $699 and go up to $1099 for the Pro model.

Apple’s fall product launch this year is expected to touch off a wave of upgrade purchases, analysts say, with fans eyeing the iPhone’s rumored new 5G capabilities and boxier look, similar to that of the iPad Pro. A “staggering” 53% of respondents plan to buy this year’s iPhone, according to a survey by electronics reseller Decluttr. Flashier rivals — such as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 2, with its foldable display, or Microsoft’s Surface Duo, with two screens sandwiched together — offer new spins on the standard metal-and-glass smartphone construction. But most consumers will likely be gravitating toward what they know.
And even if the new iPhone only offers a few new bells and whistles beyond a different outer design, it’ll draw the lion’s share of attention.
